Skype Takes Video Journalism Students Around the World
Amy Wu spent 14 years in the newsroom before moving into higher education in 2009. Amy majored in history at NYU and earned her masters’ degree in journalism from Columbia University. An American-born Chinese, she spent a total of six years working as a journalist and journalism educator in Hong Kong, widely traveling and working within the Asia-Pacific region. As a reporter, she worked for Time magazine, The Deal LLC, and the San Francisco Chronicle. She entered the PhD program at the University of Maryland in 2013, and continues to write for the South China Morning Post and The Huffington Post.
