Victoria Estrada has been contributing her writing, research, and editing skills to the NMC Horizon Project since 2012. Before that, she was learning from a team of stellar English language instructors at La Universidad Nacional in Costa Rica, where she worked for a year with a Fulbright grant. There she learned that public education can be the best education, and that it should be free. Victoria recently earned a Certificate in Non-profit Leadership and Management from Austin Community College, where she developed a keen interest in models of asset-based community development and nontraditional organizational structures. Some of her other interests include photojournalism, families, flora & fauna, sustainability, good coffee, and good causes.
