This year’s edition of the NMC Horizon Report > K12 Edition reveals a number of key trends and technologies that are driving creativity in classrooms around the world. Students’ smartphone savvy, an emerging focus on maker spaces, and the rising popularity of Minecraft, among other factors, are forming the bedrock of the creator’s culture, which encourages both educators and learners to be producers rather than passive consumers. In this session, attendees will learn about key projects in K12 schools that exemplify this trend, along with its implications for policy, leadership, and practice. There will be time reserved for discussion among participants and Q&A.
