Scratch: A 21st Century Language for Engaging Learning
Kristen Larson has been involved in the educational technology world since 2008 as a Science, Technology and Engineering (STEM) Education specialist at the ADP Center for Teacher Preparation and Learning Technologies at Montclair State University. Currently, she is a graduate student at Montclair State University in the teacher education program. She is her receiving her Masters of Arts in Teaching Biology and completing fieldwork at Belleville High School in Belleville, NJ. Her work at the ADP Center for Teacher Preparation and Learning Technologies has gained her significant experience in coding using the programming language, Scratch, and with manipulative controller modules–Makey Makey Boards. She has taught workshops and made presentations in programming, educational technology, and problem based learning for the 29 participating school districts in the Montclair State University Network for Educational Renewal (MSUNER) and for New Jersey Educational Computing Cooperative (NJECC).
