Today beings our 10 day count down until ELDc18 where we will take a peek at the ELDc18 online program each day to see the fun in store at this year’s conference.
Going along with our theme of “From Learner-Centered to Learning Experience” we are excited for Keynote Speaker, June Ahn, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Educational Communication and Technology to share his thoughts on how social, cultural, and institutional factors intersect with the affordances of new technologies to create enhanced and equitable learning opportunities for all learners and where he sees learning design headed.
Dr. Ahn is known for his work on the interplay between technology, information, teaching, and learning. His research interests include design and understanding users within broader societal contexts. Current projects Dr. Ahn is working on are “Data Viz for Education,” “famLAB” in partnership with the Joan Ganz Cooney Center at Sesame Workshop, and “Digital Learning Challenge – Partnerships and Community Development for Information Learning Opportunities.”
