To our Emerging Learning Design community,
It is with great sadness that we inform our community of the passing of Megan Nacy, one of ELD’s Executive Board members. Megan was an exceptional leader who was an active, integral and highly respected member of our Executive Board and the ELD community.
Her work as Director of the ADP center at Montclair State University made a real difference for educators, both in higher education and K-12. Anyone who attended ELD in the last few years knew Megan because she supported ELDc with the well-run space our sessions were held in, her talented and attentive staff, and her ever-willingness to help.
Those of us who had the honor and privilege of working with her are at a loss for words and profoundly saddened. She was a experienced and self-motivated education technology professional whose impact will continue to be felt.
The College of Education and Human Services, for whom Megan worked, has established The Megan Nacy ADP Center Fund to honor Megan‘s impact on and dedication to the ADP Center for Learning Technologies. Her family has suggested that donations to this fund would be a good way for people to make a gesture to honor Megan‘s life.
